My dearest customer,

 

  I would like to share with you the story of STELLA NORD.

 

  The development of this brand is a very dear project to me. I see it as the result of my many years of experience in the fashion industry and the desire to create something better than what I already know is out there.  

 

  My firsthand experience in clothing production has shown me that massive production uses many resources and at the same time it has a very poor waste management. As overproduction is a very common practice in clothing manufacturing, every year thousands of meters of fabric and other materials are being destroyed, burned, or just thrown somewhere to collect dust, once the sale season is over. All these perfectly good to use materials labeled as waste have became a great source of inspiration for me. I started collecting such materials and breathing new life into them. The limited amount of the resources challenged my whole idea of creating a new garment. I created designs that optimally fit the fabric and diminish waste. This also made every garment extra special because it can only be produced in a limited edition. This whole process brought me back to the very beginning of my career. I remembered how special it was for me as a teenager with my first sewing machine, to find a beautiful fabric in my mothers closet and try to use every centimetre of it to make a garment that fits me perfectly. The feeling of a garment consciously made!

  This is how STELLA NORD was born. Every single garment in this collection is consciously made. Every single item has my heart in it and is made with care. I hope you will enjoy wearing it as much as me and my team enjoy making it for you!
